A special 50th anniversary edition that is beautiful with some pop-ups and various pull-tabs. Although pretty, I regret having purchased this when the normal paperback version comes at a third of the price. It's also difficult to mend when your kid gets too excited and tears the movable parts. Bye bye pop-ups. Sigh.
An interesting note about the author, she left Nazi Germany with her family in 1933 and fled across Europe, eventually settling in England. Years later she wrote about her experiences in her best-selling novel for middle-grade readers "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit". Something to add to my boy's reading list when he's older!
