There's many types of milk teas around asia. Here's my top 5 with a must try at the end!
Teh Si - Singaporean / Malaysian version of milk tea. Found around local coffee stores. This is probably something all of us drink everyday. Goes great with hot kaya butter toast.
Hong Kong Milk Tea - Similar except very much sweeter and stronger with lots of condensed milk. Enjoyed in bakeries, cafes and restaurants across Hong Kong.
Thai Milk Tea - One of my favourites, can't eat Thai food without it :) Infused with Thai spices and cloves and also sweetened with condensed milk. It's one usually much more orange in color. Usually served in a tall nice cold glass .. mmm
Bubble Tea - Where would we be without of bubble tea. Popular everywhere across Asia, I love mine plain without bobas (little flavoured pearl balls). Best in Singapore is definitely KOI and RNB!
Teh Tarik Iced - Saving my best for last, Teh Tarik can be found commonly across Malay stores across Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia (where it's the national drink!). The preparation and spices make it different from other milk tea but very very delicious with much more flavour. If I had a craving for the best type of milk tea in the world, this would be it :) highly recommend! There's also a ginger version, Teh Halia which is best served hot. Great on rainy days ... Mmmmmm
